Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 21, 2026
Altheia AI Venture Studios Inc. ("Altheia," "we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting the personal information of visitors to our website and users of our services. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your personal information in accordance with Quebec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (RLRQ c P-39.1), as amended by Law 25.
1. Privacy Officer
Our designated Privacy Officer is responsible for overseeing compliance with applicable privacy legislation. You may contact our Privacy Officer with any questions, concerns, or requests regarding your personal information: Christopher Hull Director & Privacy Officer Email: privacy@altheiaventures.com Montréal, QC
2. Information We Collect
Essential-only storage On initial page load, this site writes no cookies or browser storage for analytics, advertising, or other non-essential purposes. It uses only the storage needed to operate the site and to remember the choice you make in the consent notice. When you use the AI assistant, the messages you send are processed to generate replies. Information collected through the AI chat interface: When you interact with our conversational AI, your messages are processed in real time to generate responses. Chat transcripts are retained for up to 30 days to operate the assistant and respond to you, then automatically deleted. Transcripts do not include IP addresses or device identifiers. Any personal information present in a transcript is limited to what you voluntarily share during the conversation. Site audit data: When you use the free site audit tool, the URL you submit and the resulting technical scores are stored to improve our service. No personal information is collected through the audit tool. IP addresses are not recorded. Information you provide voluntarily: If you contact us via email or share business details through the chat for the purpose of booking a discovery call, we collect the information you provide (such as your name, email address, business name, and business details). This information is used solely to prepare for and conduct the discovery call.
3. Consent
This site runs only the processing essential to operate it and to power the AI assistant. It does not load analytics, advertising, or other non-essential scripts, so there are no optional categories to turn on or off. When you arrive, a brief notice explains this essential processing and the AI assistant, and you acknowledge it to continue. If non-essential processing is ever added, this section and the notice will be updated so you can choose it separately.
4. Automated Decision-Making
Our website uses an artificial intelligence system (powered by Anthropic's Claude) to provide conversational responses to visitor questions. In accordance with Law 25 (s. 12.1), we disclose that: • Responses generated in the chat interface are produced by an AI system, not a human • An informational disclosure icon is displayed adjacent to AI-generated content • The AI operates within a defined knowledge base and does not access external data about you • You have the right to submit observations and request human review of any automated interaction by contacting our Privacy Officer
5. Use of Personal Information
Any personal information you voluntarily provide is used exclusively for: • Responding to your inquiries • Preparing for discovery calls and service consultations • Providing the services you have requested • Communicating with you about our services We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party.
6. Disclosure to Third Parties
We may share personal information with service providers who assist us in operating our business, subject to contractual obligations to protect that information. Currently, our service providers include: • Vercel Inc. (website hosting and content delivery) • Anthropic PBC (our AI provider; processes your messages to generate responses, retains them up to 30 days then deletes them, and never uses them to train its models) • Supabase Inc. (database infrastructure, hosted in the ca-central-1 region) We do not disclose personal information outside Quebec or Canada except as needed to provide our services. Where such a transfer is needed, including the processing of your messages by our AI provider described above, it is governed by a data processing agreement and was assessed under section 17 of the Act before we relied on the provider.
7. Data Retention
Chat conversations: Chat transcripts are retained for up to 30 days, then automatically deleted. They do not include IP addresses or device identifiers. Site audit data: When you use the free site audit tool, the URL you submit and the resulting technical scores are stored to improve our service. No personal information is collected through the audit tool. IP addresses are not recorded. Contact information you voluntarily provide: Retained only as long as necessary to fulfill the purpose for which it was collected, or as required by law. We do not maintain user profiles, tracking data, or behavioral analytics without your explicit consent.
8. Your Rights
Under Quebec privacy law, you have the right to: • Access the personal information we hold about you • Request correction of inaccurate information • Request deletion of your personal information (subject to legal retention requirements) • Withdraw your consent to the collection, use, or disclosure of your personal information • Request information about how automated decisions are made • File a complaint with the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec (CAI) To exercise any of these rights, contact our Privacy Officer at privacy@altheiaventures.com. We will respond to your request within 30 days.
9. Security
Personal information is protected by encryption in transit, restricted access, and an essential-only storage approach that avoids writing non-essential data to your device.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or applicable legislation. The updated policy will be posted on this page with the revised date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
